FREE! In-the-Hoop Scissor "Rug" Mat
It seems that "mug rugs" are popping up everywhere and they are so adorable!
I don't drink coffee or hot tea so I don't have a use for one (other than the fact that I want one because they are too cute).
However, I DO LOVE TO SEW and thought I could incorporate a sewing feature into one to use in my sewing room. Hence, the Scissor "Rug" Mat was created.
I'm using mine on my cutting table to protect it from scratches the scissors might create.
Not only does the "Rug" Mat make it easier to pick them up off the table, it also reminds me to put my scissors back where they belong so I always know where they are. :>)
The project takes less than 15 minutes to stitch and uses minimal supplies, which is always a plus.
I hope you'll enjoy making this and using it in your sewing room too.
